Questions You Should Be Asking During an Interview

Nicole Jarvis, LMSW on October 3, 2016

tags: Interview, Job Hunting

Interviews are intimidating by nature. They can feel like an interrogation while you are trying to present the best version of yourself. However, it’s important to think of the interview process as a mutual back-and-forth. Though traditionally thought of solely as a way for employers to get to know candidates, it is equally important for candidates to seize the opportunity to get to know their potential employers. As such, if you are invited to interview for a specific job, be prepared to ask appropriate, targeted questions, so that you are able to properly evaluate the role, the company and the company culture.

A recent article on Glassdoor’s website lists a number of questions to consider asking during an interview, to gain insight to the individual and organization that are trying to find out about you. A few highlights:

1. What are the company’s values? What characteristics do you look for in employees in order to represent those values? This will help you get a feel for the company culture as well as insight into the company and the individuals who comprise it.

2. What does success look like in this position and how do you measure it? This can help you gauge what the expectations will be and how best to meet them.

3. Is there anything about my background or resume that makes you question whether I am a good fit for this role? This enables you to respond to any potential concerns right off the bat — and to come prepared with a solid answer.

Understandably, interviewing following a cancer diagnosis can add yet another layer to the usual level of anxiety and stress that accompanies the job-search process. Making extra sure you are prepared for certain questions that come your way, as well as having your own questions ready to go, is key to feeling confident when you walk through that door.

Check out CAC’s articles with tips on interviewing, in the Looking for Work section of our website.

And consider joining us for our upcoming Balancing Work & Cancer webinar session on the Job Search, Wednesday, December 14th, at 1:00 PM ET/10:00 AM PT. Registration is free and can be done here!

Stepping into the large, glass shower enclosure, I left the door ajar to release the steam and stood under the showerhead, letting the spray machine-gun into my chest as my engorged cock bobbed angrily in front of me big booty porn. I quickly soaped myself up, taking a few minutes to relax under the massage of the warm shower as it hit my scalp before rinsing off. As I showered, the bathroom door opened and I heard the clicking of Kelsie's heels on the tiled floor as she stepped inside, moving to stand in front of the vanity where she fixed her hair and applied a brief touch of makeup in the mirror. "Hey babe," I called, "sure you don't need another shower?" Kelsie poked her head into the open door to the shower stall, her brown hair now falling in glossy waves around her shoulders. As her eyes alighted on my throbbing erection Kelsie broke into a cheeky grin freeadultcam69.com. "Sorry babe, but I have to go." Kelsie raised her voice slightly over the noise of the shower, "I didn't realize you were so worked up this morning. Why didn't you say something?!"
