Thanks for writing to us. I’m sorry to hear that you lost a teaching opportunity you were enjoying and cared about because they couldn’t accommodate your chemotherapy schedule. Even though that’s disappointing, it’s encouraging that you are motivated to find another similar position and to keep growing that skill of yours.

In terms of finding teaching/academia jobs, websites like higheredjobs.com, indeed.com, flexjobs.com, hercjobs.org and academic360.com might help with your search. Also, if you haven’t already, it might be useful to identify community colleges in your area and speak directly to their human resource department to see what position are available or may become available. As you start your job search, please keep in mind that in general, you are under no legal obligation to disclose your medical condition to your prospective or current employer (however if you want to access a reasonable accommodation you may have to disclose some information to show you are entitled to it).
