Accreditation Questions:
Q: What in-person events do you offer that are accredited for continuing education?
A: We offer in-person events around the country that are accredited for continuing education. We host:
- In-Service Training for Healthcare Professionals
And three conferences:
- National Conference on Work & Cancer
- Midwest Conference on Work & Cancer
- West Coast Conference on Work & Cancer
Q: Which accrediting bodies have approved your courses?
A: Cancer and Careers (aka CEW Foundation) regularly seeks course approval from the following accrediting bodies:
For Social Workers:
- National Association of Social Workers
- New York State Department of Education Board for Social Work
- NASW Colorado Chapter (only for AOSW Pre-Conference Training on 5/30/27).
For Nurses:
- Oncology Nursing Society
- California Board of Registered Nursing

Q: How do I register for an event?
A: Each event has a designated registration page. Registration forms are found on the individual event landing pages which can be found via the main Event Page.
Q: Do you need to know my license # for me to earn CEUs?
A: License numbers are only required for those requesting CEUs for the California Board of Registered Nursing.
Q: Can I get partial credit if I am unable to stay for the entire event?
A: You can receive credit for the time you are in attendance from ONS, NASW, and NYSED. If you are requesting credit from CABRN, you must stay for the entire program to get credit.
Q: How long will it take for me to receive my CE certificate?
A: Because all paperwork is processed by hand, webinar participants can expect to receive certificates 4-6 weeks after the date of the event. Please see the table above for distribution deadlines.
Q: Will I be notified if I do not qualify for CEUs?
A: Yes, you will be notified either way.
Q: The certificate distribution date has passed but I haven’t heard anything. What should I do?
A: If you have checked your spam and junk folders and determined the email was not filtered out, please contact cancerandcareers@cew.org;and let us know:
- Your name and contact information used for registration
- The title of the event you attended
- The date the event was held
